Vaccination Facts You Should Know
What is Vaccination?
Vaccination is a way to protect your body from getting sick by teaching your immune system how to fight specific diseases. Vaccines use a small, safe part of a virus or bacteria to help your body recognize and defend against it without making you sick.
How Does it Work?
A vaccine gives your immune system a “practice run” by teaching it to recognize and fight off germs. This helps your body to respond quickly and effectively if the real virus or bacteria enters later, preventing serious illnesses.
Why is it Important?
Vaccines save millions of lives by reducing deadly diseases like measles, polio, flu and many more! They protect you from serious illnesses and lower the risk of complications or hospitalization. When more people get vaccinated, it also helps protect vulnerable groups, like children, the elderly, and people with weak immune systems.
